Elmir Soeiro Costa was born in the city of Capanema, Pará. Son of the singer Almir Pinheiro and the daughter of pastors Edina Maria, he grew up in a Christian home, surrounded by a lot of music. At the age of five, he started playing drums at the local church that the family attended and at seven he started singing, at the invitation of churches and events in the region. He participated in some music competitions, between 12 and 13 years old, during which time he started composing his first songs. At the age of 16, he recorded a participation on his father’s CD and at the age of 17 he recorded a CD with his cousin, in pop rock style, entitled “Saia Desse Natural”. In 2009, he moved to Brasília (DF), with the intention of working and studying, but his passion for music spoke louder and in 2012 he moved to Goiânia-GO in search of more opportunities. In the same year, he participated in the contest “Novos Talentos” from Fonte TV, being among the finalists.
Since then, Elmir has been fulfilling a series of agendas at events, congresses, TV and radio programs. With a very peculiar style among black music, soul and Pentecostal pop, the singer also composes for several artists in the gospel segment, such as Banda Som e Louvor, Tonzão, Leidy Murilho, DiscoPraise, Pagode MKP and the winner of The Voice Kids 2019, Jeremias Kings.
